Overview

This AC provides guidance material for the preparation of an electrical load analysis. This guidance is appropriate in the absence of information from the type certificate or supplemental type certificate holder.

The AC will be of interest to:

  • Subpart 21.B type certificate holders
  • Subpart 21.E supplemental type certificate holders
  • Subpart 21.J approved design organisations
  • Subpart 21.M authorised persons
  • Part 42 continuing airworthiness management organisations
  • CAR 30 certificate of approval holders.

Why your views matter

We have made substantial amendments to this AC and are seeking feedback from industry and the public before the AC is published.

The content of this AC is designed to assist the creation or alteration of electrical load analysis design under Part 21 of CASR. The corresponding AWB 24-7 on Electrical Load will be amended to suit the content of this AC and provide information for licensed aircraft maintenance engineers to use when conducting testing on aircraft for electrical load analysis.
