Good to perfect paper work with very poor aircraft maintenance standards.

3. Can you think of any opportunities that would improve our regulatory system for general aviation maintenance? For example, ways to reduce costs and red tape while maintaining a high safety standard. Please provide detail.

Comments
Way to many to list here but remember KISS (Kept it simple stupid) no offence. Authority placed prohibition on alcohol history showed it went underground. We have so many regulations people turn off need to survive and seem to justify a lot of wrong with good paperwork what i have experienced GA has been in decline for years good people are leaving the industry the aircraft are in general are very poor. Due to what we do we get a good cross section of aircraft from across Australia and its not good.

Benefits and limitations of international models

1. United States – FAA

a) What would you see as the main benefits in adopting the United States’ model for regulating general aviation maintenance? Please detail.
Well i have been in the industry for 35 years and if GA was to get a report card you would have to say its a fail we have low numbers in aircraft and maintenance personnel and the aircraft do not reflect well on our regulations it has not worked.

Comments
Something has to change good organisations are loosing work to poor operators with good paper work skills. Good personnel are not starting in the industry or leaving so once again its not working.
