You can not ask Hobbiest etc to suddenly have to register all RPA's it isn't fair for over 50 years we have operated with out any issues and now suddenly calls for us to be 'registered', How can some one 'register' a drone they are making from scratch? Every micro Glider? The current laws work.

Again for 50+ years we've had a RC RPA industry that has self taught and now suddenly you want to force every one to have to have training? How are those in the bush going to have that training?
This is again madness and wrong, regulation gone insane, not to mention that so far every place that offers training including CASA expects people to have half a PPL when they are not doing things even CLOSE to what a full pilot would be doing.

Should the introduction of geo-fencing be mandated?

Should CASA mandate the introduction of geo-fencing options to limit the operation of RPA in certain areas?

Please provide your comments:
No, Geo-Fencing doesn't work anyway and can block legit use of RPA's in the areas.

What should be done about 'counter-drone' technology?

Provide your views on the ways in which counter-drone technologies should be managed and in what circumstances they should be used.

management/scenarios for counter-drone tech
You really should be talking to the likes of Xjet and others in the industry whom have already come up with means of doing this safely with out massive extra regulation.

Specify any particular aspects of counter-drone technology or its potential uses to which CASA should be devoting more attention.

Are we doing enough of the right things?

CASA seeks your view on the way in which we are approaching regulation of RPA in Australia today and for the future.

are we doing the right things?
I feel your over regulating and suffocating a group that had been fine and that RPA users are not given a true and proper voice instead we are considered second class to 'pilots' and 'fixed winged' aircraft, we are limited constantly in what/where/how/why we can do things even when it's perfectly safe.

Take night flying for example, you can't do it even if it was safe to do so.
FPV can't do it with out a buddy box.

We are always considered to be the people in the wrong though if anything does go wrong, we are always the first things 'blamed' if there is a thud or bang or something hits an aircraft.

If you want to bring further regulation in then you need to make it CHEAPER and MORE ACCESSABLE to EVERYONE. The SKIES just like the Roads, Footpaths etc belong to ALL Australians, not just pilots and currently it's wrong that PILOTS get the majority of the say.

general comments
I feel this is a bad joke and a knee jerk reaction to people simply hyping things and claiming the sky is falling.

Stop it already, let those of us who have been flying now for years continue to enjoy what we do.
