Please provide any additional comments:
It would be very helpful if training courses were available, at an affordable cost. RPA's are a whole new world for most beginners and the option to attend a day's training both technical and practical would help people fly with confidence and safety.

Should the introduction of geo-fencing be mandated?

Should CASA mandate the introduction of geo-fencing options to limit the operation of RPA in certain areas?

Please provide your comments:
With reservations, a friend of mine thought he was flying outside a restricted area on the Columbia River when suddenly he received a message warning him he was flying into a restricted area, unfortunately this message obstructed his vision of the screen and he was unable to remove it before the Drone flew behind a small island and he lost contact.
as he had been flying with the return to launch turned off (on a boat it drifts) he was unable to locate the drone before it's battery ran out and the Columbia claimed it.
This incident backs up my suggestion for training.

What should be done about 'counter-drone' technology?

Provide your views on the ways in which counter-drone technologies should be managed and in what circumstances they should be used.

management/scenarios for counter-drone tech
I would support counter- drone use by Government, and private institutions to maintain their privacy providing suitable warnings were built into the system approved by CASA

Specify any particular aspects of counter-drone technology or its potential uses to which CASA should be devoting more attention.

CASA attention to c-d use
Unlawful use and sensitive areas

Are we doing enough of the right things?

CASA seeks your view on the way in which we are approaching regulation of RPA in Australia today and for the future.

are we doing the right things?
Appreciate CASA is doing its best to seek out a fair path for everyone
